The construction of Wilopark, the global headquarters of the Wilo Group and the headquarters for the Europe region, represented one of the biggest site development projects in Wilo’s company history. The Dortmund site was completely redesigned and significantly expanded. The aim was to bring the production and administrative departments spread across Dortmund together at a single site, helping the company to better leverage synergies. The new company campus began operations with the opening of Wilopark in 2021.
An exceptional site development project
Wilopark, located in the south of Dortmund, is an industrial complex designed to make efficient use of the site with flexible-use areas and consolidated on-site processes. The company’s own H2POWERPLANT, photovoltaic systems and energy management system support efficient operations. Covering an area roughly equivalent to 27 football pitches in size, the site is divided by the factory’s own avenue, ‘Wilopark’. The central square, ‘Focus’, links the north and south of Wilopark.
The façade design and choice of materials, especially the large proportion of glass, create transparency. Our employees enjoy an open-plan layout and natural lighting in their high bays. They can look to the outside from the offices, and vice versa. The transparent design of the building makes the material and production flow visible. The production planners and managers working in the production-related offices on the first floor have a direct view into the production areas, while production personnel have direct contact to controlling and material planning. The objective is to remove the barriers between the individual work areas and create the space needed for an open working culture. This is also reflected in all other administrative buildings. A ‘Future Office’ concept promotes collaboration and is aimed at awakening the pioneering spirit in each and every one of our employees.
The energy concept encompasses both the production and storage of energy. For this purpose, Wilopark harnesses its specially created H2POWERPLANT.This allows surplus energy to be stored and retrieved when needed during peak hours. With its resource-efficient operations combined with self-generated electricity – via several thousand photovoltaic modules – and energy stored as hydrogen, Wilopark stands out for its energy concept.

Your journey to the Wilopark
Before visiting Wilopark, please ensure that your visit has been registered and that your vehicle registration number has been entered into the system. Visits that have not been registered and public visits are not permitted. Thank you for your understanding.
Arrival by car:
Input ‘Wilopark 1’ into your navigation system. In older systems, please input ‘Nortkirchenstraße 100’ as your destination. Wilopark is located right by the B54. The Dortmund district of Hörde is easily accessible by car via the A1, A2, A40 and A45 motorways, as well as the major roads B1, B54 and B236.
Parking is available free of charge in the visitor car parks at Wilopark. If you are travelling by coach or in larger vehicles, please get in touch with your Wilo contact person to arrange separate parking spaces.
For visitors bringing bicycles, secure bicycle parking spaces are available at the north and south exits of the production area, in addition to a Metropolrad bike-sharing station.
Getting here by public transport:
Enter “Wilopark 1” into your navigation system. In older navigation systems, please use “Nortkirchenstraße 100” as your destination. The Wilopark is located directly on the B54. The Dortmund district of Hörde can easily be reached by car via the A1, A2, A40, and A45 motorways, as well as the B1, B54, and B236 federal roads.
Parking is available free of charge in the visitor parking areas at the Wilopark. If you are arriving by bus or larger vehicles, please contact your Wilo contact person regarding separate parking options. For visitors bringing bicycles, protected bicycle parking spaces are available at the north and south exits of the production area, as well as a Metropolrad station.
Arrival by public transport
You can reach Wilopark by public transport via the ‘Rombergpark’ U-Bahn underground station or by taking bus 440 to the ‘Wilopark’ stop, which is located right next to the north of Wilopark.
Important: Pedestrians may only enter via the West and East gates.
