We can only meet the requirements for our products, systems, and solutions together with partners who comply with our agreed delivery requirements. We are continuously looking for suppliers for a wide range of needs. If you would like to become part of our supplier network, please contact us.
Start doing business with us
Our local procurement organizations operate from our production sites in Germany, France, Korea, China, India, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the USA. Our global category management team is responsible for the group-wide procurement strategy and supplier panel.
Supply chain digitalisation
Digital systems support key processes in our supply chain. In various regions, we use current cloud and AI technologies and digitally connect selected procurement and supply processes in order to reduce process effort.
SAP Ariba is our central platform for data exchange and collaboration between suppliers and our supplier management team.
For automated electronic data exchange, for example purchase orders, delivery schedules, or delivery notes, we work with Seeburger to further automate processes and thereby reduce manual transfer errors as well as paper-based process steps. Suppliers who have been onboarded can log in via the Seeburger portal.
Wilo code of conduct for suppliers
We take responsibility for a value chain based on compliance with international laws and standards and aligned with high ethical standards. In our code of conduct for suppliers, we therefore define our standards regarding compliance with applicable laws, human rights and non-discrimination, labor, ethics, health, safety, and the environment.
Wilo seeks close, trusting, and long-term relationships with its suppliers based on high business standards. We therefore regard the principles set out in the code of conduct for suppliers as basic conditions for a business relationship with Wilo.
Suppliers must commit to complying with our standards and principles before starting business, as documented in the Wilo code of conduct for suppliers.
Sustainability in the supply chain
Our Group Strategy includes defined requirements for suppliers and upstream suppliers, such as certain ratings and standards from sustainability bodies. In selected supply chain processes, we take defined environmental and social criteria into account, including resource-efficient production and transparent working conditions. For defined areas of the supply chain, we record relevant environmental and social risks and impacts and incorporate them into our supplier processes.
We use the EcoVadis rating as one of several sources of information for supplier evaluation. In addition, we carry out further checks as part of our due diligence and supplier processes. In doing so, we review whether the applicable requirements and documentation specifications are fulfilled. Relevant criteria include, among other things, the required supplier documents and the requirements defined in the respective Wilo Group documents.
Wilo purchasing conditions
Where effectively agreed and unless conflicting individual agreements exist, the applicable purchasing conditions shall apply.
The purchasing conditions and instructions that are effectively incorporated in each case form part of the respective business relationship.
In addition, we expect our suppliers to meet our defined logistics requirements relating to material, time, quantity, quality, form, information, price, and place.
With regard to quality assurance, our initial sample inspection procedure serves to verify conformity with the quality requirements and technical specifications defined by us and to ensure that the requirements are met by our suppliers under defined series production conditions. For suppliers affected by this requirement, DUNS registration is required to support clear supplier identification, reliable verification processes, and standardized business operations and financial transactions.
Supplier material compliance
As part of supplier onboarding, information on material compliance may be required.
REACh
Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (the REACh Regulation) pursues, among other things, the objective of ensuring a high level of protection for human health and the environment. Further information on the objectives and requirements of REACh is available from the official EU legal source.
RoHS
The RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Details follow from the applicable version of the Directive.
Conflict Minerals
The term conflict materials is defined as columbite-tantalite, also known as coltan (from which tantalum is derived); cassiterite (tin); gold; wolframite (tungsten); or their derivatives; or other minerals or their derivatives determined by the Secretary of State to be financing conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country. These are also referred to as 3TG (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold).
Wilo SpeakUp
We provide reporting and compliance structures for dealing with possible misconduct in organizations. Wilo SpeakUp offers a protected reporting channel for individuals to report illegal, unethical, or fraudulent activities. It includes the technical and organizational safeguards necessary with regard to confidentiality and data protection. Wilo SpeakUp supports the structured and transparent receipt and handling of reports of misconduct as well as the related responsibilities.
