Let’s do business - become a supplier
The local procurement organisations operate from our production sites in Germany, France, South Korea, China, India, Türkiye, UAE and USA. Our global Category Management Team is responsible for group-wide procurement strategy and the supplier panel.
Supply chain digitalisation
Digital systems support key processes of our supply chain. Using the latest cloud and AI technologies across regions, we have linked selected procurement and supply processes digitally to reduce administrative effort.
SAP Ariba is our central platform for data exchange and collaboration between suppliers and our supplier management.
For automated electronic exchange of data – e.g. purchase orders, scheduling agreements or delivery notes – we work with Seeburger to further automate processes and thereby reduce manual transmission errors and paper-based process steps. Onboarded suppliers can log in to the Seeburger portal.
Wilo code of conduct for suppliers
We take responsibility for a value chain based on compliance with international laws and standards and aligned with high ethical standards. In our code of conduct for suppliers, we therefore define our standards regarding compliance with applicable laws, human rights and non-discrimination, labor, ethics, health, safety, and the environment.
Wilo seeks close, trusting, and long-term relationships with its suppliers based on high business standards. We therefore regard the principles set out in the code of conduct for suppliers as basic conditions for a business relationship with Wilo.
Suppliers must commit to complying with our standards and principles before starting business, as documented in the Wilo code of conduct for suppliers.
Sustainability in the supply chain
Our group strategy has defined requirements for suppliers and subcontractors, such as specific ratings and standards set by sustainability bodies. Across selected supply chain activities, we apply defined environmental and social criteria, including resource-efficient production and transparent working conditions. We identify relevant environmental and social risks and impacts for defined areas of our supply chain and incorporate them into our supplier processes.
The EcoVadis rating is one of the many sources of information we use to assess suppliers. In addition, we carry out further assessments as part of our due diligence and supplier processes. In doing so, we verify whether suppliers meet the relevant requirements and documentation standards. Key factors include the necessary supplier documentation and the Wilo Group requirements defined in the relevant documents.
Wilo purchasing terms and conditions
Where validly agreed and unless individual agreements provide otherwise, the applicable purchasing terms and conditions apply.
The applicable purchasing terms and conditions and instructions form part of the relevant business relationship.
Additionally, we expect our suppliers to meet our defined logistics requirements pertaining to material, time, quantity, quality, form, information, price and place.
To assure quality, we use the initial sample procedure to verify compliance with our quality requirements and technical specifications and to confirm that suppliers can meet these requirements under defined series production conditions.
Suppliers to whom these requirements apply must be registered with DUNS in order to facilitate unique supplier identification, reliable verification processes, and standardised business procedures and financial transactions.
With regard to quality assurance, our initial sample inspection procedure serves to verify conformity with the quality requirements and technical specifications defined by us and to ensure that the requirements are met by our suppliers under defined series production conditions. For suppliers affected by this requirement, DUNS registration is required to support clear supplier identification, reliable verification processes, and standardized business operations and financial transactions.
Suppliers’ material compliance
As part of supplier onboarding, information regarding material compliance may be required.
REACh
Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (the REACH Regulation) pursues the aim, among others, of ensuring a high level of protection for human health and the environment. Further information on the objectives and requirements of REACH is available from the official EU legal portal.
RoHS
The RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Further details can be found in the current version of the directive.
Conflict Minerals
The term conflict materials or minerals is defined as columbite-tantalite, also known as coltan (from which tantalum is derived); cassiterite (tin); gold; wolframite (tungsten); or their derivatives; or any other mineral or its derivatives determined by the Minister for Foreign Affairs or Secretary of State to be financing conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country. These are also referred to as 3TG (tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold).

We provide reporting and compliance mechanisms to address potential misconduct within organisations. Wilo SpeakUp provides a secure reporting channel for individuals to report illegal, unethical or fraudulent activities. It encompasses technical and organisational safeguards necessary to ensure confidentiality and data protection. Wilo SpeakUp supports a structured, transparent process for receiving and handling misconduct reports, together with the related responsibilities.
