Market segments
Building services
In residential and commercial buildings, cost-effectiveness and sustainability requirements are playing an increasingly important role. This calls for systems with coordinated components. In the two market segments Building Services Residential and Building Services Commercial, we offer concepts designed around energy-efficient components and applications. These involve heating technology and air conditioning as well as water supply and wastewater disposal. Our products and system solutions are used in multi-residential and public buildings, industrial or office buildings, hospitals and hotels.
OEM
We are a partner to OEMs and manufacturers of boilers, heat pumps, air-conditioning systems and much more. Our pumps and hydraulic systems are designed for reliability, flexibility and efficiency. We continuously monitor regulatory developments and changing market requirements and use these insights to develop a broad range of established and customised solutions for OEM applications.
We also work as a development partner and contribute our expertise and ideas to the development of new solutions. Taking current and anticipated regulatory requirements into account, we identify emerging global market needs and changing market requirements at an early stage. This enables us to develop and offer solutions tailored to specific applications.
For OEM customers, we provide a broad portfolio of established, market-tested integrated products as well as intelligent, individually developed solutions for a wide range of requirements.
Water management
Driven by the fast pace of urbanisation and climate change as well as growing environmental pollution, water as a raw material is becoming a scarce and precious commodity in more and more regions of the world. Providing access to clean drinking water is a key challenge in many regions. In response to growing requirements in water extraction, water transportation, and wastewater transport and treatment, Wilo offers solutions for a wide range of water management applications, with a focus on technical performance and efficiency.
Industry
We develop and manufacture pumps designed for high reliability, flexibility and efficiency. These characteristics are particularly important for pumps and pump systems, especially in industrial applications. One of Wilo’s strengths in the industrial market segment lies in process-related applications across a wide range of sectors. As each industrial sector places specific demands on pumps and peripheral equipment, we develop application-specific concepts and solutions. In doing so, we take account of installation, operation and maintenance requirements, among other things. Around the world, Wilo pumps are used, for example, to pump cooling water in power plants. Other fields of application include mine dewatering and applications in food production.
Challenges & solutions
Tackling global challenges with water technology
We live in a time of crises and global challenges. This places demands not only on governments and businesses, but on all of us. Meeting selected technical and infrastructure-related challenges of our time requires determination and entrepreneurial spirit. Wilo implements targeted measures and technology solutions in defined fields of action. These are guided by selected global megatrends that are reflected in our strategy: urbanisation, human centricity, water responsibility, globalisation 2.0, climate change and the energy revolution. At Wilo, we see these developments as starting points for technical progress.
Pioneering WATER AI for You
With the Group Strategy “Pioneering WATER AI for You”, Wilo combines water technology with the possibilities of artificial intelligence. Wilo builds on the vision of using technological progress for the benefit of people and the environment. On this basis, we develop intelligent solutions for specific challenges in water management and related fields of application, aligned with clearly defined use cases.
The strategy brings together the development of water technologies with the use of artificial intelligence and the three strategic thrusts Creating, Caring and Connecting. In doing so, Wilo focuses on intelligent water technologies, the ongoing development of its own business processes and collaboration with partners. In this way, technological innovation and concrete application goals are brought together within one shared strategic framework.
