As an internationally active company, we examine the impact of our own actions — on resources and the climate, as well as on our employees, our supply chains and our corporate culture.
The Caring impact area describes selected topics in which we take responsibility within our company and along our value chain. This includes reviewing emissions and resource use, establishing responsible standards, and shaping a working environment in which different perspectives have their place. In the use of artificial intelligence, we also follow a responsible and human-centric approach based on defined IT, security and governance requirements.

Reducing our greenhouse gas emissions
Energy is required at our sites for a wide range of processes. At the same time, the way energy is generated, used and managed plays an important role in our own operations.
At selected sites, we record energy flows digitally, analyse consumption data and work to manage energy use more effectively. We also integrate renewable energy into energy supply of selected locations and review the development of our greenhouse gas emissions.
Cutting down on resource consumption and upholding human rights throughout our supply chains
Our value creation depends on collaboration with a wide range of suppliers and partners. As a result, our responsibility extends beyond our own sites. Transparency regarding processes, materials and risks, based on defined criteria, is an important basis for identifying opportunities for improvement and developing appropriate measures.
We work to improve transparency on our resource consumption, identify and assess defined supply chain risks according to established criteria, and collaborate with suppliers to further develop defined requirements. Human rights risks in our supply chains are also considered as part of this approach.
Strengthening a values-based corporate culture
The way we work together, make decisions and take responsibility shapes our company. Shared values provide orientation and create a framework for collaboration and leadership across countries and functions.
We base our leadership, collaboration and decision-making on shared values and continue to develop our corporate culture over time. This includes embedding reliability, responsibility and mutual respect in everyday working relationships.
Encouraging diversity within our workforce
Different experiences, perspectives and capabilities shape our international working environment. Diversity is reflected not only in different backgrounds, but also in the individual experience and views of our employees.
Our approach is based on transparent processes and objective criteria, helping to create clear and consistent frameworks for our employees. We publish defined workforce indicators in line with established reporting cycles.
Promoting the health of our employees
Health is an important foundation for a safe and health-supportive working environment. This includes both physical and mental health, while taking into account the different needs of employees and workplaces.
Through selected preventive and curative measures, we offer support to help our employees maintain and strengthen their physical and mental health. Our approach includes both preventive action and support services for situations in which specific assistance is needed.
Embracing human-centric AI
Artificial intelligence creates new possibilities for work processes, decision-making and collaboration. At the same time, these opportunities raise new questions and responsibilities, particularly where people work with AI systems or are affected by their outputs.
When using AI, we take defined IT security and governance requirements into account and provide relevant training so that employees can use these technologies competently and consciously. People remain at the centre of this approach: in selected use cases, AI is intended to support employees and provide additional analytical and assistance functions, without losing sight of human responsibility.
