Success stories
Episode 1: Jana Bartsch
Jana has been part of Wilo’s Learning & Development Team Europe in Dortmund since July 2024 and supports her colleagues in her role as a specialist on their learning and development journeys. Her responsibilities include organising the ‘Wilo Welcome’ event and supporting managers as part of the Leadership Journey, using formats such as networking events, mentoring and peer groups. Jana appreciates the open and supportive working atmosphere at Wilo, the team spirit and the unique setting of Wilopark, including the coffee bar and the Pioneer Cube. She integrates our group strategy into learning programmes and incorporates topics relating to diversity and inclusion into these programmes, for instance, through awareness-raising activities and participation in events such as Christopher Street Day.
Episode 2: Nils Mannebach
Nils Mannebach is a team leader in the Electronics department at Wilo, where he is responsible for the SMD section and final module assembly. He emphasises the human factor in what he does and is committed to ensuring that his team feel comfortable and can work productively, for instance, through regular personal conversations. Nils joined Wilo as an apprentice in 2003 and, having held various roles, worked his way up to team leader, while placing great importance on supporting young talent. He particularly values Wilo for its commitment to its Dortmund location, the familial atmosphere and the way people were valued during the Covid-19 pandemic. This has helped him feel a strong sense of identification with the company.
Episode 3: Cebastien Foumouo-Tsakou
It is a sunny day, the skies are blue and there is a stunning view over the rooftops of the Smart Factory. Standing among the gleaming photovoltaic modules is Greta Körner, host of the We@Wilo format, talking to a guest who literally lives and breathes energy: Cebastien Foumouo-Tsakou. For over 13 years, he has been driving forward energy management and digital solutions in facility management at Wilo. This is not just about figures, processes and efficiency. It is also about a clear vision: making energy and sustainability topics visible through specific projects in day-to-day operations. In his interview, Cebastien shares how he went from being a working student to a key figure in energy and sustainability processes at Wilo, why he believes teamwork is the key to success, and how he carries on championing the topic of energy in his personal life, too.
Episode 4: Zahra Ghorbanzadeh
It is a clear winter’s day at the Wilo Group’s headquarters in Dortmund. In the background, the striking silhouette of the Wilo Smart Factory - for us, a symbol of innovation, transformation and an international approach. This is where Greta Körner welcomes a colleague to the format whose own career path is just as international as the company itself: Zahra Ghorbanzadeh. In this interview, Zahra explains how the often-quoted phrase ‘Welcome to the family’ has taken on real meaning for her over the years, why ‘Caring’ is far more than just a sustainability concept to her, and why she particularly values cultural diversity and global connectivity in her work at Wilo.
